EVERYDAY

In 2015 we embarked upon a road trip in search of the renowned natural dyers of Sakon Nakhon in the Northeast of Thailand. Historically the most impoverished region of the country, it has the largest wealth of artisanal knowledge and is the country’s agricultural backbone. The knowledge of deriving natural dye from indigo plants and other natural materials such as red clay and pradu found in the region has been passed on for many generations. Sakon Nakhon Indigo is now protected as a Geographical Indication, becoming a valuable part of the community’s identity and heritage. Today we bring this heritage and craftsmanship to you.
